FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing microcrystalline cellulose from industrial hemp trust has been proposed. Delignification of plant raw materials is carried out with an alkaline solution of sodium hydroxide with continuous thermomechanochemical activation by extrusion of the plant mass. Then, acid hydrolysis of the plant mass is carried out at a temperature of 95±5°C using a solution containing hydrogen peroxide, ammonium molybdate and sulfuric acid. Bleaching is carried out at 65±5°C using an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide with a concentration of 1-4%, while the aqueous medium is preliminarily subjected to repeated cavitation treatment to obtain a pH of 7.6-8.2.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the quality of microcrystalline cellulose: whiteness increases by 23.1-24.2%, the number of dark inclusions decreases by 25-50 times.
