SUBSTANCE: invention refers to papermaking industry, namely to press cloth for press part of papermaking machine. Flake press cloth for the press part of the papermaking machine has the system of passive detection of press cloth wear. The lower layer of flaky press cloth is made from colored staple fibrous interlining that becomes visible with operative wear of the cloth surface that is a visual indicator of wear.

EFFECT: timely detection of wear of flaky press cloth surface for its change.
