METHOD OF THERMAL WASTE-FREE RECYCLING OF PUBLIC SOLID WASTE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F23G5/00

Abstract RU 2343353 C2

FIELD: heating systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgic and heat engineering, and can be used for recycling the public solid waste, medical waste and some technogenic industrial solid waste. Method of thermal waste-free recycling of public solid waste includes waste drying, its supply to a melt chamber, combustion of organic constituents of public solid waste on the surface of molten slag, aftercombustion and cleaning of gases leaving the melt chamber, heat utilisation of exit gases, fusion of mineral constituents of the waste, and discharge of accumulated slag and metal. Molten slag is obtained from flux materials and mineral constituents added together with public solid waste, which are overheated up to 1500-1600°C. Combustion of organic constituents and fusion of mineral constituents of the waste is carried out on the surface of overheated molten slag in atmosphere of oxygen injected by combined burners-lances with supersonic velocity in melt chamber, the casing whereof is cooled with liquid-metal coolant, which is installed in the mouth of power boiler used for afterburning and heat utilising of exit gases. Public solid waste is dried up to humidity of 5-12% before it is supplied to the charge system of melt chamber in the drying device and in conveyor device covered with pressure-tight casing, with gaseous nitrogen heated up to 150°C by the heat accumulated with metal heat carrier when cooling the melt chamber casing.

EFFECT: providing effective waste-free recycling of public solid waste, environmentally sound utilisation of dust removed in gas cleaning from gases leaving the combustion device (melt chamber), and improving resistance of melt chamber lining.
