FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to utilisation of rhenium and platinum containing industrial feedstock and can be used at inert-based dead platinum-rhenium catalyst processors. Method includes catalyst chlorination with gaseous chlorine in liquid fluid consisting of mixed dimethylformamide and additive in mass ratio catalyst:dimethylformamide:additive, equal to 1:(20-25):(8-10). Chlorination takes two stages with the rest air-interannealed at temperature 450-550°C after the first stage. Thus chlorination of the first stage is carried out at temperature 25-60°C in medium containing aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid or water as the additive. The second stage includes as follows. The rest already annealed is chlorinated at temperature 50-60°C in medium containing aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid or solution produced at the first chlorination stage as the additive.
EFFECT: reduction of equipment and expensive reagents investments and electricity bills.
