FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in roasting catalyst at temperature 600-850°C and roasting at 1200-1300°C. Also catalyst is roasted in unidirectional flow of air at continuous mixing. Further, compounds of rhenium are stripped and wet trapped; platinum is leached from roasted catalyst with solution of strong acid containing oxidant. Notably, compounds of rhenium are wet trapped by absorption of gas phase with water and successive absorption on silica gel.
EFFECT: raised extraction of rhenium or platinum.
