FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: versions of present invention suggest methods of treatment of nickel-titanium alloys containing from more, than 50 up to 55 wt % of nickel for providing a specified temperature of austenite transformation or temperature range of austenite transformation. Then the specified temperature or temperature range of austenite transformation is selected and heat treatment of the alloy or at least two alloys is performed at the temperature facilitating correction of contents of nickel in solid solution in TiNi-phase of the alloy. Contents of nickel are sufficient for achieving a solubility limit in solid state during heat treatment. Thus a stable temperature (temperature range) of austenite transformation is obtained which in essence is equal to the specified temperature (temperature range) of austenite transformation. The specified temperature of austenite transformation is chosen within the range from -100 to 100°C. Heat treatment of the alloy includes isothermal aging. The temperature range of austenite transformation does not exceed 10°C.
EFFECT: facilitating predictable adjustment of temperature (temperature range) of austenite transformation with shape memory.
