SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an intelligent video system for automatic control of the engineering procedure and safety. The method performs an automatic assessment of the total field of video surveillance, automatic formation of recommendations for changing the position of video cameras to ensure the achievement of the target field of observation, changing the position of video cameras in accordance with automatically generated recommendations, entering primary standards of objects and events, augmentation of standards of objects and events, selecting the mode of constructing a two-dimensional continuous image field, selecting the mode of constructing a three-dimensional virtual scene, formation of a three-dimensional working scene, recognition of specified events and specified objects, calculation of geometric and other specified parameters of recognized events and recognized objects, formation of a compact data package for exchange taking into account recognized events and recognized objects, transmission of data packets, registration of a set of key events, provision of operator and worker notification of specified events, additional training by analyzing extracted data.
EFFECT: providing automatic control of the territory of a construction, industrial or other site and real-time recognition of potentially dangerous and other a priori specified situations, events, objects.
