SUBSTANCE: method for start of MBMS session comprises the following stages: center of MBMS services (BM-SC) initiates message with request for start of session via GGSN unit in SGSN unit; having received this message with request for start of MBMS service session, SGSN unit sends message with request for start of MBMS service session in component of radio access network (RAN); having received message with request for start of MBMS service session, RAN radio network component checks whether it is required to establish transmission channel for session of MBMS service, if it is required, then it activates context of MBMS service transmission, and RAN radio network established radio communication resources for user equipment (OP). Component of RAN radio network may represent controller BSC/RNC.
EFFECT: reduction of resources consumption and lower complexity of processing in system.
