FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: milk cooler contains a flow-type heat exchanger consisting of multiple parallel arranged heat exchange fins all weld-joined with the help of spacer plates fabricated of the same material as the fins which results in formation of alternate parallel channels of the milk and the water circulation circuits. The device is equipped with a tank for collection of freshly drawn milk, a milk pump with a starting arrangement and a milk flow regulator valve. The milk pump is installed in the milk line connecting the receiver tank to the heat exchanger. The milk flow regulator tap is installed within the milk line section that connects the milk pump outlet to the connecting pipe of the input collector of the heat exchanger milk circuit. The device is easy-to-work, highly maintainable and energy efficient. Easy channel cleaning ensures improved reliability and longevity of both the heat exchanger and the whole of the device. The device is intended for farming enterprises and commercial dairy farms whose process facilities are equipped with in-line milking machine units providing for the milk drawn being collected in milk buckets. The device design also enables smooth regulation of milk flow within the heat exchanger channels.
