FIELD: medicine; orthopedics and traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: wedge osteotomy is made above main condylus of double III metacarpal bone at two levels: first osteotomy right under condylus with wedge base at radial bone side, second osteotomy at the top of III metacarpal bone deformation, with wedge base at ulnar side. Additionally III metacarpal condylus undergoes osteotomy along a line continuing medium line of main IV finger phalanx. Condylus lug of IV metacarpal bone at radial side and remaining base of additional III metacarpal condylus are resected to form level area. III metacarpal bone deformation is eliminated and fixated transossally by wires. Main phalanx of IV finger is shifted into correct position by displacement to radial side with moderate turn to 45° clockwise, so that resected fragment adjoined medial palm surface of IV metacarpal condylus firmly. Achieved bone fragment position is fixated transossally by hooked wire to level area of IV metacarpal condylus.
EFFECT: recovery of normal anatomical hand form, elimination of finger deformation, recovery of finger functionality.
