FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: slicer includes a housing, which has an output plate, cutter and replacement insert. The cutter is fixed on the housing and located on the edge of the output plate mentioned above. The replacement insert can be installed in different positions on the housing to set different thickness of slicing and forms a guiding surface, along which material to be sliced is moved towards the cutter. Moreover the replacement insert position, in which one end face of the insert is located close to the cutter and the guiding surface is on one level with or higher than the cutter, is safe. In addition the replacement insert on the end face close to the cutter has at least one tang, which in is lower than the cutter, when the replacement insert is in its safe position.
EFFECT: increased safety when using the slicer.
