FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of processing the germanium-containing raw material including mixing of a starting raw material with a reagent and heating the mix along with sublimation separation of germanium-containing compound. Note here that the starting germanium-containing raw material is mixed using ammonium fluoride or hydro-di-fluoride as a reagent, the mix being heated to 350 to 400°C. The separated compound of germanium in the form of ammonium hexa-fluoro-germanate is desublimated to extract the germanium oxide via ammoniac hydrolysis of the ammonium hexa-fluoro-germanate.
EFFECT: development of wasteless method of processing germanium-containing raw material to produce especially pure germanium oxide.
