FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to control of internal combustion engines, mostly automobile plunger engines with electric control of fuel injection. Substance of invention consists in the fact that amount of air supplied to cylinders is not limited, at that rotation period of crankshaft is measured and compared to preset value in electronic device. If rotation period of crankshaft exceeds the specified value, fuel is supplied in stoichiometric ratio with available volume of air, which is constant in suggested method and is equal to cylinder capacity. If rotation period of crankshaft is reduced below specified value, fuel supply and ignition are stopped, at the same time controlled decompression of cylinders is done in idle cycles of engine operation. If braking is required, decompression of cylinders in idle cycles is not done. Suggested method of power control makes it possible to reject detectors of air mass flow and improves dynamic characteristics of internal combustion engines.
