SUBSTANCE: proposed invention pertains to biotechnology and can be used for carrying out ecological toxic tests when monitoring water ecosystems. The Vibrio fischeri "ВКПМ" B-9580 strain, with high sensitivity to effect of toxic substances with very diverse chemical nature, can be used in testing toxic levels of sea-floor sediments.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity of the test-culture to effect of toxic substances of very diverse chemical nature.
