SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to biotechnology and is an oligopeptide, capable of blocking invasion and metastasis of cancerous cells, containing an oligopeptide series (given in the application) or its fragment. The invention is also a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating degenerative diseases, or pathological conditions, caused by destruction of the extracellular matrix (ECM) by matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), and a diagnostic composition for diagnosing degenerative diseases or pathological conditions, caused by destruction of the extracellular matrix (ECM) by matrix metalloproteinase (MMP).
