SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oil well operation, and is intended for interpreting the data measured in the well. Method includes stage of obtaining local volume fractions and/or velocities of polyphase effluent phases through the well section at certain depth, stage of correcting the measurements of local volume fraction and/or velocity in order to ensure their compliance with each other and/or with effluent flow conditions, stage of automatic selection of appropriate flow model which mathematically displays effluent flow by analysing a number of measurements of volume fractions and/or velocities, stage of interpolating the measurements of local volume fraction and/or measurements of local velocity with the chosen flow model in order to obtain a volume fraction profile and/or velocity profile at least for one effluent phase through the well section at the specified depth, and calculation of relative flow volume velocities at least of one phase by integrating profiles of volume fraction and/or velocity through the well section at the depth.
EFFECT: determining volume fractions and/or velocities of flows of polyphase effluent phases, which flows in the well with regard to the factor relating to measurements or conditions of the flow which can change or disturb local measurements.
