FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: rotary internal combustion engine has hollow body with ports and intake and exhaust channels, rotor with pistons and two timing spool valves installed in body spaces for synchronized rotation with rotor and for forming variable intake-compression and expansion-exhaust spaces. Body has also combustion chamber with intake and exhaust gas distribution channels, cooling arrangements, ignition device and spool actuators. Body has also second combustion chamber. One of spools has two pairs of channels of which one pair is made for periodical connection of first combustion chamber with intake-compression space and second combustion chamber, with variable expansion-exhaust space. Second pair of channels is made for periodical connection of first combustion chamber with variable expansion-exhaust space and second combustion chamber, with intake-compression space. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 6 dwg
