FIELD: physics; radio.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to radiolocation and may be used in rescue operations for remote detection of accident victims, those lost in the forest, fishermen in distress, especially under low visibility conditions, as well as for remote detection of persons mutilated in contingency or under other circumstances. The said method is implemented by means of a device, which comprises scanner transmitter, scanner receiver and transponder. Scanner receiver comprises single metering and four direction finding channels. Transponder is a SAW interdigital transducer, which comprises two interdigitated-finger electrode systems and interconnecting buses.
EFFECT: enhanced range of unequivocal measurement of angles for rough measurement bases of small length.
