FIELD: search-and-rescue systems.

SUBSTANCE: method involves placing low power transceiver on biological object belonging to risk group. Surface acoustic waves converter is applied as the transceiver. An surface area, under which biological object or its remnants is thought to be buried, is irradiated with directed electromagnetic signal. The reradiated signal is received and modulating code is separated. The signal is to be frequency-transformed using heterodyne frequency and intermediate frequency voltage, equal to sum of carrier frequency and heterodyne frequency, is separated. The received phase-manipulated signal frequency is repeatedly transformed. The second intermediate frequency voltage is separated and synchronous detection is carried out on heterodyne frequency ω. The device has scanning unit and transceiver. The scanning unit has master clock, circulator, transmit-receive antenna, phase detector, computer,. Heterodyne, the first and the second mixer, amplifier of the first intermediate frequency and piezo-crystal, microstrip antenna, electrodes, reflector set.
