FIELD: smokables.
SUBSTANCE: in cigarette making machine, cut tobacco is fed and handled with the device containing, at least, one conveying roller, rotating round the longitudinal axis and provided with number of radial pins projecting from of circular surfaces and taking tobacco flow and delivering it to the assembly which generates continuous narrow tobacco flow. Besides, feeder and handler contain, at least, one sensitive device close to the peripheral surface of the roller thus detecting segments without pins or with damaged pins.
EFFECT: development of the device for fast and easy detection of damaged or dropped hackling pins.
