Abstract RU 2346714 C1

FIELD: transportation; rescue equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed rescue device for a derrick man comprises a suspended cradle, joined to a tower by a holder and device for lowering it, equipped with a shock-absorber with an impact lining pad for receiving the cradle. The cradle lowering device is in form of a pair of track rails, fitted with inclination on the tower, running into a horizontal position. If a blow-out occurs at the mouth of the boring tower, the worker sits in the cradle and releases the carriage holder, which, together with the cradle and the worker, rolls down the slanted track rails and along its horizontal part to a safe distance, where it is stopped by the shock absorber for receiving the cradle.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of moving a worker to a considerably safe distance from the tower.
