FIELD: mechanics; metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to roll mill stand with two rolls arranged in the stand rolls pads. Note that the said pad can be locked in and released from the stand with the help of, at least, one rolls locking device. The roll mill stand comprises two support rolls also fitted in the pads. Note here, at least, one of the working rolls and, at least, one of the second rolls can move to arranged for a required gap between the rolls relative to an appropriate working roll and, hence, to a support roll in vertical direction. Note here that the working rolls are furnished with the means of axial travel for them to move relative to the roll mill stand and to set on axis at the preset position. Here, the working rolls interact with the bending means for them to get a bending moment. The aforesaid axial travel means are arranged and, hence, act between the roll mill stand and working rolls locking device, while the bending means are arranged and, hence, act between the working roll pad and the second roll second pad.
EFFECT: facilitating setting roll mill stand for higher up travel.
