FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mill stands to roll thick-sheet material. Roll mill stand comprises RH and LH stand posts and upper crosspiece jointing them together at least one pair of working rolls and one pair of support rolls and pads associated therewith, balancing assembly with stop bracket and piston unit extending above crosspiece post outer surface. Note here that aforesaid piston unit features crossarm at its outer end oriented along rolling direction and in engaged with aforesaid stop brackets of balancing assembly. Piston assembly is embraced by rotary sleeve arranged between balancing assembly cylinder top edge and crosspiece bottom edge. Note that it rests upon post crosspiece and has at least one continuous spline to receive crosspiece.
EFFECT: higher safety, reduced servicing costs.
