FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in welding jobs at depth toll 60 m in repair of hydro technical structures, sea stationary platforms, ship hulls, welding the defects of sea bottom oil-and-gas main lines. The proposed unit incorporates the welding current source connected to the control unit and protective gas feed device connected to gas lines. The welding wire feed source is connected to the welding torch. The working chamber to house a diver-welder can be located at the welding area. The welding chamber ventilation unit is connected to the said chamber by gas hoses and incorporates a smoke filter with compressor and the oxygen content control system. The said working chamber represents an open diving bell that can be sealed on the side of the structure to be repaired. The control unit allows operation in both pulsed and continuous conditions, controls the wire feed rate and sends voltage to the torch control button.
EFFECT: improved condition if welding seam formation thanks to reduced smoke content in working area.
