SUBSTANCE: device for automatic protection of a train and stoppage of a train provides for both automatic stoppage of a train and automatic protection of a train, through addition of a ground electromagnetic K-inductor, which can transmit surface information using data transfer through a small air gap, and a memory packet of surface information to the train. The device has onboard equipment, comprising a main unit, onboard antenna, velocity meter connected to the axle shaft, operating switch, a train controller and communication module. The device also has ground equipment, comprising a radio beacon of a system of automatic train stoppage, connected to the device for detecting track occupancy, a K-inductor, using data transfer, and a program part for input of surface information into the K-inductor. There is provision for high speed data transfer and safety and reliability due to operation at an accessible distance on the circuit without an electric power supply.

EFFECT: advantage of self-testing, provision for functions of recording and storing information and improvement of stability of operation due to protection from absence of reaction and faulty operation.
