FIELD: fire extinguishing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: automatic train fire extinguishing system comprises fire detecting units mounted in train carriages and made so that to reveal fire occurrence, a control unit to receive signals from the fire detecting unit and detect fire existence, sets of sprayer jets mounted in train carriages and designed for sprinkling fire extinguishing substance when the control unit detects fire presence. The system includes also feeding units of fire extinguishing substance which comprise casings connected to the sprayer jet sets and filled with fire extinguishing substance under the specified pressure, valves for selective closing/opening of casings and sets of sprayer jets and drives for actuating the valves under the control of the control unit.
EFFECT: providing for faster fire detection in a carriage and taking of countermeasures.
