FIELD: transport, aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of protecting aircraft against guided weapons equipped with IR-homing heads operating in IR-radiation spectrum frequency ranges. The aircraft is equipped with power supply inverter, computer, controller, IR-radiation source power supply, control unit and, at least, two power units. The latter are vertically and horizontally relative to the aircraft IR-radiation power center and represent a line or a polygon. Note here that the aircraft IR-radiation indicatrix maximum vertical and horizontal values created by modulated IR-radiation flow are overlapped. Every power module comprises servo drive accommodated at aircraft, casing arranged on aircraft either stationary or moving along the flight vehicle. The said casing houses blowers, servo motor, IR-radiation source, main reflector and additional IR-radiation sources, IR-radiation pickup, focusing element, obturator, light-filter carcass, IR-radiation light filters, and a cooling unit. The controller can be connected to the aircraft objective control system and interconnected to control unit and power module servo drives.
EFFECT: higher efficiency ensured by increased power and contrast of IR-radiation, smaller sizes, lower weight, ease of manufacture, expanded performances.
