FIELD: transport, package.

SUBSTANCE: proposed machine intended for wrapping packages by a tape, contains the device for pulling out, moving aside and tensioning a tape, the engine the main driving wheel. Around the wheel, the tape is partially wound to allow its moving in both directions. The machine comprises two, the first and second, transfer mechanisms to transmit motion from the engine to the main driving wheel, and a control device. The first transfer mechanism causes rotation of the main driving wheel with the first speed and the auxiliary driving wheel pressed to the main driving wheel so that to allow positioning the tape between them the nearby the area of feeding the said tape onto the main wheel for tensioning the tape. The second transfer mechanism causes rotation of the main driving wheel in both directions with the second speed exceeding the first speed, to pull out and move aside the tape when the auxiliary driving wheel is at a distance from the main driving wheel. The control device actuates in turns the first or second transfer mechanism to allow fast pulling out, moving aside and tensioning operations.

EFFECT: perfected device allowing higher reliability, quality and speed of wrapping packages.
