FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to production of compounds, used for lining thermal generating units, for example induction furnaces. The refractory mixture for lining thermal generating units contains boric acid, chrome oxide, electrocorundum, and magnesite, with the following ratio of components, in wt %: boric acid - 0.05-2.0; chrome oxide -1.0-10.0; electrocorundum - 40.0-95.0; magnesite - 3.5-48.0.
EFFECT: increased heat resistance and creation of a refractory mixture resistant to breaking down.
