FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to microbiology, biotechnology and agriculture. Presented here is a strain of Escherichia coli "BioR.Prolyzer-4L" (B-9843), which produces lysine and is meant for feeding monogastric animals and birds, with the aim of boosting their fertility. The invention also relates to the "Prolyzer-BioR" additive, which contains this strain, deposited on a carrier. Description is given of a method of feeding monogastric animals and birds, involving putting additives into the feed, which is a culture of this strain, grown in a medium using Hottinger's broth at 25°C-37°C for a period of 6-12 hours until attaining 5*109-32*109 per 1 l content of living microbe cells.
EFFECT: increased value of aminoacid feed of monogastric animals and birds, lower cost of the feed, and consequently, price of meat of monogastric animals and birds.
