FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to contact coolers, particularly to cooling towers, and can be used in thermal power stations for cooling circulating water. The cooler has a tower, on the side face of which are air inlet windows with sprayers for injecting air coolant. On the windows there are inward tilting cooling gills, forming tiered channels, while sprayers are fitted in front of the inlet nozzles of the latter. The sprayers are acoustic. They have a case, inside of which there is an acoustic generator in form of a nozzle and a resonator, and pipes for movement of the spraying agent and liquid. The case is in form of a cup with a bottom, inside of which there is a case of the acoustic generator, which is in form of a hollow rod with a V-shaped aperture and a nozzle. Liquid enters the annular gap between the outer surface of the resonator and the inner surface of the nozzle. The channel for moving liquid is at a tangent to the inner surface of the cup and is in form of a rectangular slit. Air is let in through a connection pipe in the case and the resonator opening, and then through at least, one V-shaped aperture, located at an angle to the axis of the resonator. The angle lies in the optimum interval: 30°÷60°. In the annular gap between the inner surface of the cup and outer surface of the resonator, there is a helical guide, capable of creating a swirling stream of liquid, going into the channel.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the cooling tower.
