SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of complex mixtures. The proposed method consists in generating selective ionic mass-chromatograms using separate ions characterising certain admixtures, interpreting mass-spectrum proceeding from the laws of fragmentation of molecular ions representing various classes of organic compounds with due allowance for spectrum-structure correlations. It also includes the analysis of relative intensities of diagnostic ions, using alkylpyrazines as markers of ethyl alcohol authenticity and propenal (acrolein) as the marker of synthetic spirit authenticity.

EFFECT: higher sensitivity of identification.
