FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns defining liquid and gaseous fluids content in natural underground reservoirs of different types, as well as spatial position control of hydrocarbon and water boundary in hydrocarbon production and underground gas tank operation. Method involves registration of mechanical vibration of Earth surface by digital multicomponent receivers converting mechanical vibration to electric signal, which can register vibrations with amplitude of 0.5 nm or more within 0.1 to 20 Hz frequency range. Registration is performed at frequencies from 0.1 to 20 Hz by all measurable components. Time range of measured signal registration is divided into discrete sites synchronised for all receivers. Signal registration is performed simultaneously at the frequencies of (0.1-1.0; 1.0-2.0; 2.0-4.0; 4.0-8.0; 8.0-12.0; 12.0-20.0 Hz). Registered signal undergoes mathematical processing, and absence or presence of fluid in survey point is judged.
EFFECT: possible determination of fluid composition in underground reservoir, possible control of production well and gas tank operation in oil and gas production and storage.
