FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for video surveillance, namely, to surveillance video cameras. Result is achieved by the fact that video camera comprises the following: facility for generation of image data for generation of image data that characterises mentioned object; facility for generation of video signal, facility for generation of image data, control facility, optical module, transformation module sensitive to light, at that transformation module consists of multiple element-pixels exposed to light sent through optical module, for the period of exposition for image reading; and multiple units for increase of sensitivity, every of which is intended for increase of transformation module sensitivity, and control facility comprises actuating module to give possibility to sensitivity increase units to start increasing transformation module sensitivity in previously specified sequence, and to stop increasing sensitivity of transformation module in reverse order of previously mentioned preset sequence.

EFFECT: higher sensitivity of image detector for generation of image data with high quality without effect of lighting intensity.
