METHOD OF FARM ANIMALE FEMALE EXAMINATION FOR FUNCTIONAL OVARY STATUS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61D99/00 

FIELD: medicine; veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: farm animal females are tested for leukocyte content. Furthermore haematocrit is evaluated, number of lymphocytes and segmented neutrophils is estimated, and lymphocyte-neutrophil (L/N) ratio is calculated. If haematocrit value is within 32.70±0.89 %, total leukocyte content is 5.37±0.34×10⁹, including lymphocytes 3.53±0.25×10⁹/l and segmented neutrophils 0.84±0.08×10⁹/l, and L/N ratio is at least 3.50, functional ovaries are diagnosed in cows, and fertilisation conditions are considered to be favourable. And if indicators do not meet the optimum values, reduced ovary functionality is decided in incomplete cycles.

EFFECT: more accurate diagnostics of functional ovary status in farm animal females, formation of complete estrous cycle and rate of fertilisation.
