METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF CURVILINEAR ROUNDED LOGS AND SHAPED BARS AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALISATION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B27C5/08 

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: method includes crosscut sawing of wood, milling of blanks. Crosscut sawing of blanks is carried out by saws by guide lines at the angle of 10-50°, then fixing holes are drilled along axial radius, at that blank is selected with width of B=2*a+(R-a)*(1-cosγ/2)+2*d, where B is blank width, a is radius of rounded log or half of shaped bar width, R is axial radius of curvilinear parts, γ is angle of curvilinear parts segment, d is allowance for processing, and installed at the distance of H=R-((R-a)/2)*(1-cosγ/2), where H is distance from center of radial sawing and milling machine to blank axis, R is axial radius of curvilinear parts. Produced blank-segments are fixed in holders with hydraulic clamps, which are installed on radial guide lines, and locked by hydraulic clamps, then treated by saws on both sides, and then worked with concave or cylindrical milling cutters along circumference with radius within the limits of 0.5-10 m.

EFFECT: expansion of technological resources of woodworking machines for manufacture of parts with different shape and curvature.
