FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for determining buoyancy has a transparent hermetically closed plastic cylinder, which lies vertically and is defined by part of the reservoir filled with water such that the water level of the surface of the reservoir coincides with the zero level mark of the scale of the cylinder for direct measurements of buoyancy of physical bodies from plus 6 kg to minus 6 kg. Dimensions of the cylinder and its scales for positive and negative buoyancy are determined by a calculation method and by making standards for plus 1 kg of positive buoyancy and minus 1 kg of negative buoyancy.
EFFECT: improved conditions for determining buoyancy of physical bodies without using a ballast.
