SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metallurgy. Particularly it concerns modifiers content, which are used in gray cast iron production. Modifier contains, wt %: silicon 30.0-40.0; aluminium 8.0-12.0; calcium 4.0-6.0; barium 4.0-6.0; strontium 3.0-5.0; boron 3.0-4.0; beryllium 1.0-1.5; lithium 0.1-0.2; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: increasing of hardness of ingots made of gray cast iron, processed by modifier at its consumption 1% of cast iron mass.
