FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and, particularly, to solid fuel burning and may be used, for example, at heat power plants and in industrial and heating boiler stations. The technical task of the invention is to increase fuel burn-up, improve efficiency factor, reduce nitrogen oxide and sulfur emissions in swirling-type furnace. The above task is solved by using swirling-type furnace containing combustion chamber with prismatic furnace hopper, nozzles for air-fuel mixture supply. The nozzles are installed in the medium part of the combustion chamber. There are also the undergrate blast unit and secondary air nozzles being installed at the side from air-fuel mixture supply nozzles. The secondary air nozzles are installed so that the angle between longitudinal axis of each secondary air nozzle and longitudinal axis of each air and fuel mixture supply nozzle is +5...+45° in axes projection to the adjoining vertical wall of furnace. It reduces nitrogen oxide emissions.
EFFECT: increase of fuel burn-up, improvement of efficiency factor and reduction of nitrogen oxide and sulfur emissions in swirling-type furnace.
