FIELD: agriculture; live-stock breeding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shoe production industry and animal shoe production industry, particularly, to animal accessories designing. The method of paw measuring provides for measuring paw prints by the height from the floor surface to heel joint and identifying a number of anatomic points for the front and rear paws. The following are the points for the front paws: length of the lower arm, paw length from the side and dorsal sides, length of pastern in free position and when leaning on the surface from the side and dorsal sides. Girths: at the level of the first finger base, over the first finger base, at the level of elbow joint, at the level of freshy heels, at the level of fetlock joint. The following are the points for the rear paws: the length of the lower thigh, the paw length from the side and dorsal sides, length of rear pastern in free position and when leaning on the surface from the side and dorsal sides. Girths: at the level of the first finger base, over the first finger base, at the level of heel joint, at the level of freshy heels, at the level of fetlock joint. In additions, all measurements of the front paw is made in two positions, i.e. free position and when leaning on the surface, whereas the rear paw is measured in three positions: free, when leaning on the surface and in seated position. The paw print specific for the leaning area is taken in two positions of both paws: the front paw - when leaning on the surface and in lying position, the rear paw - in free position and in seated position.
EFFECT: set of dog paw measurements to draw shoe basis to be used for shoe basis designing for animals with similar structure of legs, taking into account biological mechanics of paw movement and ensuring easy and comfortable use of shoes.
