FIELD: aeronautical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: aircraft horizontal tail with total area making at least 25% of the main wing area is made up of a basic and tip trapezoids and wing tips. Tail unit basic trapezoid features no narrowing and span of at least 50% of length. Tail unit basic trapezoid features sweepback of leading edge exceeding by 4 to 5° the basic trapezoid, narrowing equals η˜0.35 to 0.45 and is formed by trailing edge without sweep (straight edge) and wing tips. The size of wing tips makes 20 to 25% of the tail unit local chord. The tail unit total root section is arranged at a positive angle of up to +1.5°, while the tip sections are arranged at a negative angle of up to -1.5° with a linear change of the intermediate section arrangement angle. The wing tip upper surface terminating in down lipping are furnished with taper-like narrowing recesses with the depth of 3 to 5% of the wing tip local chord.
