FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to new polymerisation methods, involving diluents and fluorohydrocarbons. The method pertains to production of a copolymer, involving reacting isoolefin, preferably with isobutylene, alkyl styrene, one or more Lewis acids, one or more initiators and diluents. The copolymer has copolymer sequence distribution defined by: F=1-{mA/(1+mA)}. There is use of fluorohydrocarbon diluent(s) or mixtures of diluents with hydrocarbons and/or mixtures of chlorinated hydrocarbons during polymerisation and copolymerisation of isoolefins with dienes, obtaining isoolefin copolymers with considerably reduced contamination of the reactor, and consequently, longer working periods of reactors.
EFFECT: invention can be used for producing polymers with new sequence distributions.
