FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing isoolefin polymers. The method includes the stages of: a) preparing a reaction medium containing an organic diluent and at least one monomer constituting an isoolefin, and ethane or carbon dioxide substantially dissolved in the reaction medium, wherein ethane or carbon dioxide is present in the reaction medium in an amount from 5.0 to 11.0 wt.%, and b) polymerising at least one monomer in the reaction medium in the presence of an initiating system, resulting in a final medium containing a copolymer, an organic diluent, and optionally residual monomers, wherein ethane or carbon dioxide of the reaction medium is at least partially evaporated.
EFFECT: development of a method for producing high-quality isoolefin polymers with excellent temperature control in large-scale industrial production.
