FIELD: construction industry; heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: shaped timber is heated in vacuum drying chamber, for example by being arranged between rows of heating elements - flexible mats or stiffened slabs - in four-stage modes with the stiffness changing parabolically following the condition (t1, P1)>(t2, P2)<(t3, P3)<(t4, P4), where: ti - staged material temperature, °C; Pi - vacuum pressure, kPa; at that timber temperature is kept approximately at water boiling level at the appropriate pressure.
EFFECT: high quality of shaped timber drying, and reduction of electric energy consumption.
