FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method proceeds from extrapolation of wave field of narrow-band electromagnetic field data received from source-receiver pairs. Submerged electromagnetic sounding data at a set of discrete frequencies within 0.01 Hz and 60 Hz are obtained. Wave field is extrapolated for each of these discrete frequencies to derive electromagnetic scattering coefficient distribution as a study area location and depth function. Then these distributions can be combined thus acquiring reproduced image of electromagnetic scattering coefficient.
EFFECT: fast acquiring of reproduced image to be interpreted easily.
