FIELD: technology for determining type of underwater and underground reservoirs.
SUBSTANCE: method includes assembling a symmetric vibrator antenna of transmitter, positioning its axis horizontally. Symmetric vibration antenna of receiver is positioned on one line with receiver. Electromagnetic field is applied to beds, containing reservoir, by means of a transmitter. Wave response of electromagnetic field is detected by means of a receiver. In aforementioned response, component is identified, which represents the refracted wave, coming from reservoir, appropriate for mode of transverse measuring polarization. Symmetric vibrator antenna of receiver is assembled in parallel to transmitter. Operations are repeated in mode of transverse electric polarization. Response from refracted wave in first mode is compared to response of refracted wave in second mode for determining type of reservoir.
EFFECT: increased trustworthiness of reservoir type detection without drilling a well.
