FIELD: physics; nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: invention covers abnormal storage irradiated graphite sticks, removed from processing mines of nuclear power plants with graphite-uranium reactors, conveyed within reactor hall and sawed. Module contains box-like vessel with in-built guide-supported wheeled cart. Latter includes guide-supported wheeled carriage with handling loops and semiautomatic lock-on, as well as a line of paired bearing rollers with first being power-driven. The vessel is mounted in receptacle of support-and-shield plate above the stick removed from the processing mine and conveyed to sawing device. The module is provided with vessel tipping and locating stock, environmental enclosure with sawing chamber supplied with power-driven stick feed roller and sawing device, e.g. reciprocating saw that sawing sticks delivered through the loading hopper to shielding container.
EFFECT: ensured radiation safety level required for abnormal storage irradiated graphite sticks, removed from processing mines, conveyed and sawed.
