FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to conversion and impulse technology and can be used for DC voltage transducers, self-excited inverters, AC voltage regulators and other static converters of nonlinear regulating performance. Pulse-width monitoring method for static converter consists that modulation period sequence is specified. Reference signal is swept for each modulation period as a various amplitude reference pulse packet then compared to control signal thus forming driving pulse through power keys of static converter for each modulation period within constant-sign interval for reference signal and driving signal difference. The object in view is ensured as follows. Reference voltage scale ranked in ascending order U1<U2<...<Ui<...UN is formed within driving signal range. Saw-toothed ancillary signal of amplitude UN is swept for modulation period. N discrete readings of reference signal sweep S0(Δτ),S0(2·Δτ),...,S0(j·Δτ),...,S0(N·Δτ) is specified on reference voltage scale. N rectangular reference pulses are packed while reproduction of polyadic N-ary logic operations of predicate algebra from choice v(y1, K, yn)=y1·α1+y2·α2+K+yi·αi+K+yN·αN, when discrete readings S0(j·Δτ) are identified with object variables yi and formation of time sequence of binary values {0,1} of combined weight factors satisfying to complementarity conditions α1+α2+K+αi+K+αN=1, are formed by comparing saw-toothed ancillary signal to reference voltages, thus enabling switching permutation between object variables and discrete readings yi↔ S0(j·Δτ) and separating smooth component of reference signal sweep.
