FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the fish industry and may be used when transporting alive cold-water crustaceans, in particular king crabs. Method of king crab transportation is carried out when keeping crab in humid environment at the temperature no higher than 10°C. The crabs are kept in container, each animal unit is separated by wet material. Every 12 hours supply of seawater is performed at the temperature of 2-10°C. The water is kept not longer than 15 minutes and discharged. Seawater from tank is supplied through water-supply nipple, mounted on the container top. Discharge is performed through nipple mounted on the container wall. Seawater for supply is oxygenated. Sorbent is used for regeneration.
EFFECT: increase of alive crabs transportation time to 48 hours with minimal waste.
