SUBSTANCE: proposed hockey helmet designed for the user's head protection is composed of the left-hand and the right-hand lateral sections, a rear section and a hindhead section. The helmet contains a casing having two inner lateral surfaces (the left-hand and the right-hand ones) and two inner lateral pads (the left-hand and the right-hand ones) that at least partly cover the casing left-hand and the right-hand inner lateral surfaces. The inner lateral pads accordingly contact the user's head right and left lateral regions. The design also envisages presence of a V-shaped element positioned between the left-hand inner lateral pad or the right-hand inner lateral pad and the corresponding left-hand inner lateral surface or the right-hand inner lateral surface accordingly. The V-shaped element is designed movable from Position 1 to Position 2 (and contrariwise). While in Position 1 the left-hand inner lateral pad or the right-hand inner lateral pad applies primary pressure to the user's head right lateral region or left lateral region accordingly. While in Position 2 the left-hand inner lateral pad or the right-hand inner lateral pad applies secondary pressure to the user's head right lateral region or left lateral region accordingly. The secondary pressure exceeds the primary one in terms of magnitude.

EFFECT: invention provides for the helmet comfortably fitting on the user's head and the user being able to adjust it to one's head size without having to take the helmet off.
